ABOUT DR. BRICKER
Dr. Bricker is a clinical psychologist specializing in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) who is licensed to practice psychology in Maryland and formerly practiced in Florida. Since 1997, she has worked in the field of psychology as a therapist, psychological examiner, researcher and professor. In teaching and in practice, Dr. Bricker adheres to the use of evidence-based methods of assessment and treatment. She has developed expertise in the areas of depression, anxiety, insomnia, social skills training, and High Functioning Autism.
Dr. Bricker is the former Clinical Director of the University of Central Florida Anxiety Disorders Clinic where she provided clinical supervision to psychology doctoral students as well as direct clinical services, including diagnostic evaluations and cognitive-behavioral interventions to children, adolescents and adults with various developmental, personality, anxiety and mood disorders. Dr. Bricker also served as the Project Coordinator for a treatment research study funded by Autism Speaks and co-developed a group social skills training program for adolescents with Asperger's Disorder.
Dr. Bricker, a member of Phi Beta Kappa, graduated summa cum laude from Pennsylvania State University with a B.A. in Psychology and a minor in Human Development and Family Studies. She then attended the Clinical Psychology Doctoral Program at the University of Maryland, College Park where she earned her M.A. and Ph.D. Dr. Bricker completed her clinical internship at Sharp Mesa Vista Hospital in San Diego and postdoctoral fellowship at Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, Penn State College of Medicine.
